Os limites de explosividade ou inflamabilidade s\u00e3o os limites de concentra\u00e7\u00e3o entre os quais uma mistura gasosa \u00e9 explosiva ou inflam\u00e1vel.\n\nEssas misturas s\u00e3o expressas em percentagens em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao volume de g\u00e1s ou vapor no ar, e s\u00e3o determinados a press\u00e3o e temperaturas normais para cada subst\u00e2ncia.\n\nS\u00e3o definidos dois limites; limite Inferior de explosividade\u00a0(LIE) que \u00e9 a menor concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de uma subst\u00e2ncia que misturada com o ar forma uma mistura inflam\u00e1vel e o limite superior de explosividade\u00a0(LSE) que \u00e9 a maior concentra\u00e7\u00e3o de uma subst\u00e2ncia que misturada com o ar forma uma mistura inflam\u00e1vel.\n\nMisturas abaixo do limite inferior \u00e9 dita &#8220;pobre&#8221; e misturas acima do limite superior \u00e9 dita &#8220;rica&#8221;.
